Waterfalls & Floral Shorts

Today my husband and I visited Snoqualmie Falls. So pretty! For some reason we had never been before, even though both of us have lived in Washington state our whole lives.....(minus a few years while living in Texas).

The mist that reached us while hanging out on the viewing platform felt so great. If you live in the NW or ever visit the Seattle are, I recommend checking this place out. That brown building you can see to the left on the second photo is a really nice lodge. How amazing would it be to awake to the sounds of a waterfall outside your balcony? Heaven.

This is what I wore today. Love my new pleated, floral shorts....so comfy! Oh and I am kind of obsessed with this hat currently. It made an appearance on my last clothing related post and will probably continue to quite often. haha :)

I love the sweet Peter Pan collar, the perfect shade of pink and of course the delicate lace overlay.

A few parks, Bubbles and a Strapless Dress.

So I rediscovered a strapless dress that was shoved and hidden in our teeny tiny closet that my husband and I share. Out of sight, out of mind. I need to remedy this before I forget about more items in my closet :/  I am sure glad I found it, because the weather this past weekend made it a perfect time to wear it :)

On Saturday, my day started off with meeting my friend Millie at Panera and then taking our

lunch with us to a beautiful park in Seattle that has

such amazing views of the Puget Sound.

We were pretty amazed by this dude making these HUGE bubbles, I think we enjoyed it more than all the kids in the park haha.

"Watch out, it's going to pop on your head!!!!"

I always have a great time with this friend of mine, lots of laughter and inside jokes. :D

Saturday evening, my husband and I went to a park and watched the sun go down over Lake Washington. So pretty.

Iron & Wine- Naked As We Came

New Blog Layout!

So I had been thinking a lot lately how my blog needs some lovin' design/style wise.

I attempted to try on my own, but soon realized I am not as gifted as I once was

in Photoshop. I totally forgot how to use most of the awesome features.

Sooooo, I asked my soon-to-be sister in-law, Brenna, if she could help me out. 

She did and I could't be happier with the way it turned out!

So cute and perfect. :)

Not only is she great at all things related to design, but she also knows her way around the kitchen.

Vintage Floral Love

I never win anything, ever.

I could probably count the times I have won something in my entire life on one hand.

Soooo, you could image how shocked and excited I was last week, when I

received an e-mail letting me know that I had won a giveaway that one of my favorite

bloggers, Natalie of Natalie Off Duty was having!

The giveaway was $40 towards a item at a amazing vintage shop called The Tailor's Stories.

Immediately I started browsing through their vast selection of awesome vintage finds, when

I came across the piece I knew I had to have.

A Banana Republic floral dress in excellent condition.

Love.

AND it has pockets! Score.

Surprise detail: criss-cross straps!

I am so happy with this dress and I love that it is tea length, especially since I didn't have a dress

this length yet :)

I paired it with my fav. vintage, floral pendant necklace that made an appearance in this post and 

a pair of blush pink, cutout wedges from Target.
